Are you planning to visit Mexico City? Or perhaps you are thinking of celebrating Christmas in this city? Well, this is the perfect time to get your tickets and plan your vacation. With Christmas just around the corner, and New Year fast approaching, you will find it the best time to explore the city’s culture with many festivals taking place. We have written about some festivals that you simply must not miss on your visit to the city.

Riviera Maya Jazz Festival

This is a three-day music festival that starts late November every year. Located on the Mamitas Beach, in Playa Del Carmen, it is the perfect space to enjoy good jazz music while having some drinks and dancing on the beach. This year many talented artists such as Sheila E, Phil Perry, Zappa Plays Zappa, and Gino Vanelli are set to perform. If you are in Mexico, drop by for this event where entry is completely free of charge.

Tropico

A hip music festival, this event is not restricted to music lovers only. Led by local and international artists, this festival includes pool parties, fashion and art displays and of course the amazing music concerts. This year, their lineup includes performers such as Dixon, Quantic,  me, Thundercat and so many more.

Sabor a Cabo Food & Wine Festival

If you are a foodie, then this festival held during the first week of December is a must-visit. Sabor a Cabo Food & Wine Festival brings together the best chefs from 50 restaurants and representatives from over 25 wineries to allow people a fun-filled time for eating, drinking, and entertainment. This festival is scheduled for 9th December at Puerto Los Cabos sculpture garden.

Another fun fact but not necessarily a festival, but the Mexico City government annually installs an ice skating rink in the Mexico City Zocalo. The rink is open from the first week of December, till about the first week of January. You can easily get the ice skates on-site, and the best part is that you don’t have to spend a penny. The entry is free!
