The Zocalo - The Heart of Mexico City

The Zocalo is the main square, located in the heart of the historic city centre of Mexico City. Earlier the plaza was known as Main Square or Arms Square. 'Plaza de la Constitucion' is it's the official name today, but it is always referred to as the 'Zocalo'.
